"For me, it is an honour to be able to fulfill the pledge that I took the very minute I became a nurse, regardless of what country I am in."

“Being able to work as one of the front-liners during the COVID-19 pandemic is both an honour and a privilege. Honour, in the sense that you get to work and be a part of something you’ve been passionate about since the very beginning. In my case, the reason I chose to be a Registered Nurse is to be able to assist and help other people, especially the sick and vulnerable.
For me, it is an honour to be able to fulfill the pledge that I took the very minute I became a nurse, regardless of what country I am in. That being said, it’s a privilege too as not everyone is given the opportunity to go back to their respective careers after moving to a foreign country because unexpected circumstances can always arise. Through Windmill Microlending’s support, I am grateful that I am able to work as a nurse, especially while I was just starting to settle in Canada.
Now, because of the support you have given me, I get to serve our community and help fight this pandemic along with other healthcare professionals.
Again, thank you very much.
Sincerely, Jean
